During my holidays in Istanbul, I had dinner at Yengec Restaurant.
It is a little place with excellent food and you can also get a taste of turkish hospitality and lifestyle.
While we were having dinner, some turkish musicians entered and started to play and suddenly the guests and the staff were dancing...
I had a wonderful evening and when I'm back in Istanbul, I will visit this place again.

Every time I go to Yengec, I am reminded again of the subtleties of not just eating good food, but enjoying a good night out. The food is amazing, the fish always fresh, and the hosts, gracious.

Its er very populær restaurant in the old town. I eat Cupra( fish), which was delicius.
Its very frendly service, I was there with my 15 friends from Copenhagen. Wi had a wonderfull evening overthere. Prices is cheap. They had shuttle service and they drive us to the walking street in the new town..

You should go there and try thiers food........

Nice restaurant fantastic local sea food restaurant. Reservation accept it. staff very clean and turkish music so funny

we went to in February .5 persons. We have very good time Yengec restaurant. Because very local fish restaurant.They charge normal price not touristic. Staff very friendly and owner very warm to talk to us and our service. I have to go back again

I was there on October with our group. We spent very nice time there. Becasue it has a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is located on the area called Kumkapi which is famous with ols fish restaurants. Yengec is one of them. Mr.Nezih, long haired man, is the owmer of the restaurant .

There was also belly dancing with oriantal musicians. That was different but nice for me.

My hotel advised me to go there. They have free transfer promotion from the hotel asnd to the hotel.. It was plus for them.

Anyway, if you want to be in an authentic place, I suggest you to be there.. It is between us but it is better to know this. It was not so expensive tha I expected.
